The landscape in Thailand consists mostly of mountains and hills with some plains. The highest point is Doi Inthanon at 2,565 meters (8,415 feet). The climate is tropical with hot temperatures year-round; while some areas experience cooler temperatures during winter months due to higher altitudes. Temperatures range from 16°C (61°F) during winter months to 38°C (100°F) during summer months.
