According to Allcitycodes, Suriname is a small, tropical nation located on the northeastern coast of South America. It is bordered to the east by French Guiana, to the south by Brazil, and to the west and north by Guyana. The country has a total area of 163,820 square kilometers (63,039 square miles), making it slightly larger than the state of Georgia in the United States. The landscape in Suriname consists mostly of tropical rainforest with flat coastal plains along its coastline and some hills in its interior regions. The highest point in Suriname is Juliana Top at 1,230 meters (4,035 feet). The climate in this country is tropical with two distinct seasons: rainy season from April to August and dry season from September to March. Temperatures range from 22°C (71°F) during dry season to 33°C (91°F) during rainy season.
