According to Allcitycodes, North Korea is a country located in East Asia with a total area of 120,540 km2 and a population of over 25 million people. The terrain consists mainly of mountains and hills separated by deep and narrow valleys. The climate is predominantly temperate with four distinct seasons; spring, summer, autumn and winter. Average temperatures range between -5°C to 25°C throughout the year with average annual rainfall ranging between 500-1,000 mm. The area code for North Korea is +850. This code is used when dialing from outside North Korea to any other phone number within it. Additionally, to call a cell phone or landline inside North Korea from another country you must dial 00 + 850 + telephone number. There are currently no area codes for different regions across North Korea as all numbers are seven digits long starting with 2 or 3 followed by five numbers (e.g 2xxxxx or 3xxxxx). North Korea also has mobile networks which are operated by Koryolink and SunNet which both use GSM networks with 3G/4G coverage available on both networks. To call a mobile device within North Korea you must dial 00+850+ 7+ telephone number where the 7 indicates the Koryolink network prefix and 8 indicates the SunNet network prefix respectively.
